    The Democratic Party leadership election was a primary election that was held in Italy in February to elect the National Assembly and secretary of the Italian Democratic Party (PD).[1] It consisted of a closed primary election among party members held from 9 to 19 February, and an open primary election held on 26 February.[2][3]

    Four candidates ran in the closed primary election held in circle conventions: Stefano Bonaccini, Gianni Cuperlo, Paola De Micheli, and Elly Schlein. Bonaccini and Schlein advanced to the open primary election, wher

    She told the radio station, in a discussion over the recent creation of a “Department for Mums”, within the Democratic Party: “In Italy, less and less children are being born and parents usually get left to their own devices. There are no longer mums in Italy, do you realise that we are the oldest country in Europe? We are a country that is at risk of having no more young Italians in a few decades”.  She then said that government support for mothers is important for the continuation of the Italian “race”, otherwise “we risk extinction in Italy”.

    Nata e cresciuta a Roma, nel quartiere Giuliano-Dalmata, ha frequentato il liceo classico "Francesco Vivona" di Roma, laureandosi in lettere classiche all'Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza".

    Alle elezioni amministrative sektion , presentatasi per la coalizione di centro-sinistra, viene eletta al primo turno presidente sektion municipio Roma XII (oggi rinominato Municipio Roma IX) con voti su votanti (57,66%).[1]

    Nel partecipa alla fondazione del Partito Democratico (PD), diventandone membro dell'Assemblea Nazionale del PD.[1]

    È stata assessore allo idrott, turismo e giovani della provincia di Roma nella giunta di centro-sinistra presieduta da Nicola Zingaretti ravin 12 maggio fino al 31 dicembre , quando Zingaretti si dimette per candidarsi samtliga Presidenza della RegioneLazio all
