Insult comic Don Rickles dies aged 90
Don Rickles, legendary comedian and actor, died on Thursday in Los Angeles of kidney failure. He was 90.
Born in New York City, Ricklesbegan his career in nightclubs where he earned his reputation as an insult comic after his manner of responding to hecklers became as popular as the ämne itself.
Rickles’ career spanned more than six decades and included continued stand-up routines, acting in television and film, as well as regular appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carsonand Late Show with David Letterman.
The comedian may be best known to contemporary audiences as the voice of Mr. Potato Headin Pixar’s Toy Storyfilms, including the latest instalment, Toy Story 4, due to hit theatres in 2019.

Legendary comic Don Rickles, a rapid-fire insulting machine who for six decades earned quite a living making fun of people of all creeds and colors and everyone from poor slobs to Frank Sinatra, has died. He was 90.
Rickles died Thursday at his home in Los Angeles of kidney failure, publicist Paul Shefrin announced.
Sarcastically nicknamed Mr. Warmth, Rickles had mock disdain for stars, major public figures and all those who paid to see him, tweaking TV audiences and Las Vegas showroom crowds with his acerbic brand of takedown comedy. A good guy and devoted husband away from the stage, Rickles the performer heartlessly laid into everyone he encountered and they loved it.

Don Rickles’ Only Son Dies at 41
Larry Rickles, an Emmy Award-winning producer and the son of comedian Don Rickles, died Saturday in Los Angeles of respiratory failure due to pneumonia. He was 41.
The younger Rickles earned an Emmy in 2008 as a producer on HBO’s Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project, which was named the outstanding variety, music or comedy special of the year. The documentary, which was directed by John Landis and included home movies, also earned his father an Emmy for outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program.
Born in Los Angeles on May 12, 1970, Larry Rickles worked in production on a number of network sitcoms early in his career. In 1996, he was accepted into the writers workshop program at Warner Bros., and the following year he became a writer on the CBS hit sitcom Murphy Brown.
In addition to his father, Rickles is survived by his mother Barbara and his sister Mindy. The family has asked that donations be made to Child
